Jaycee Special School was started by the Jaycees of Tellicherry in 1982.
The first of its kind in Tellicherry, the School has children from 22 Panchayaths and the 3 Municipalities of Tellicherry, Kuthuparamba and Mahe.
The Classes here function in 5 different categories: Primary/ Primary Secondary/Secondary/ Pre Vocational and Vocational.
The School also provides training in Yoga/ Music /Dance/ Craft and Vocational Courses.
The children of the school are initially observed for their capabilities and then provided training in carrying out their daily chores. Gradually they are initiated into the world of letters. And some are given Vocational Training, if found capable.
